African American History Month with Lawrence Dinkins, Jr. All-Stars!

Poets gathered for African American History Month. Features included: Rob Anthony, Kelly, Vince and Lawrence himself. Felicia also gave a heart-rending reading of her poems. Many more read to express their heritage, their pride and experience.

Tim Kahl, SPC Vice President introduced Lawrence, who lead the show with some amazing spoken word - and included audience participation in some of the readings.

The SPC workshop is free and open to the public - bring 15 copies of your one page poem. Meets at 27th and J street, every Tuesday night at 7:30 pm at the Hart Senior Center.
